The Bill of Rights
Ten promises the government must keep to YOU.

Remember this
These are things the government is NOT allowed to do to you.
✏️A shield with the number 10 on it, ten small stars around the rim.
The very first thing they added to the rulebook was a list of ten promises. They are called the Bill of Rights.
✏️A child standing on a box speaking into the air, with a speech bubble; another child holding a sign.
You can say what you think. You can believe what you want. You can gather with friends and ask the government to fix things. Nobody can stop you.
✏️A closed front door with a friendly “no peeking” symbol; a police officer knocking politely and showing a paper.
The police can’t come into your home or take your things unless a judge says there’s a good reason. Your private life is yours.
✏️A courtroom drawn simply: a judge, a jury of regular people, and a kid getting a fair turn to speak.
If you’re ever in trouble, you get a fair turn: a judge, a jury of regular people, and a chance to tell your side.
